"I would like to suggest to all of you that you intensify your praying of the rosary, privately and in community, to obtain from the Lord those graces that the church and humanity especially need. I invite everyone to do this: children, adults, young and old, families, parishes and religious communities," he said.

At the end of World War II, Communist Soviet troops occupied Austria. They refused to leave. After massive public Rosary processions, some over 70,000 strong, the Communist invaders packed up and left. Large-scale public Rosaries are also credited for stopping a Communist takeover of Brazil in 1954.
The Holy Rosary can save the Ukraine and The America's as well.
Also, St. Pope John Paul II The Great has credited it's public recitation for helping to end communist occupation of his homeland-Poland.
Communist thugs and misfits don't stand a chance against 'Mary the Mother of God — Our Queen of Peace'. The evil one, satan, told our most renowned exorcist Father Grabeile Amorth, that he (satan) hated losing to Mary, a woman, more so than losing to Jesus. Losing to a woman embarrasses satan.
Honor Our 'Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue' Our Lady Queen of Peace, Medjugorje. And, her son Jesus — Prince of Peace — pray a Rosary for the Ukrainian people.
Thru prayer -- more Holy Rosaries were prayed during World War II than any time in history. At the end of World War II, the bad guys: Tojo of Japan -- Executed as a war criminal, Adolph Hitler of Germany-suicide, Mussolini of Italy executed in a public square by hanging. They were all big time losers.

...I did not write this to persuade you to believe me. l am just a messenger, and I wish to share my story with the hope that it might bring some comfort to a world in which peace is becoming increasingly scarce.
June 24< 1981 First Vision by Mirjana and five of her friends—The Feast day of 'John the Baptist' (who proclaimed the first coming of Jesus - is this prophetic?)
Until that day, I had lived under the heavy hand of communism and stomached the many aggravations that went along with it, but the worst suffering (inflicted by communists) began after our visions of Mary 'The Mother of God' began.
Fearing that my testimony was a threat to their rule, the communist declared me an 'enemy of the state' when I was just 16 years old.
Perhaps their fears were warranted, because I had come to know something far greater than the communist government - far greater, in fact, than anything on earth.
I had come to know God's love.
When Father Jozo, Pastor of St. James Church Medjugorje, was taken off to prison by the communists he said to the parishioners and visionaries, "God be with you always. Don't be afraid. Our Lady is with us."
Amazingly, a priest from a nearby village opened St. James church and celebrated Mass with a full house that evening. The six young visionaries led the congregation in a Rosary. During their apparition in a room adjacent to the alter they immediately inquired about Fr. Jozo. "Do not be afraid" she told us. "I wish for you to be filled with joy, and for joy to be seen on your faces. I will protect Father Jozo. I am with him." They relayed her message to the Priest.
The Priest took little Jokov (the youngest) by the hand to the front of the alter.
"Please tell them, Jokov" said the priest. Jokov looked at the crowd, took a deep breath, and then fearlessly told them what Our Lady had said. Their mood changed from despair to hope.
Communists tried to pressure an end to their additional evening Masses pointing out that they are normally in the morning. The Priest responded, "Mass is not a commemoration of the last breakfast of Jesus, but the last supper!"
In Father Jozo's controversial last sermon that day, he prophetically pointed out "Christians in this world are like a light in the darkness," he said, "our strength is on our knees, in our hands put together in prayer, in our carrying of the Cross. Our strength comes from Our Lord God.
There is no other strength, no other wisdom, no others' victory, but the victory over the absurdity of this world —through humbleness, love, and sacrifice."

Exodus: 15:3 'God Is A Warrior'
On the eve of Pentecost, June 2, 1979, at a Victory Square in Warsaw Poland then under communist rule, Pope John Paul linked Jesus Christ to Poland's martyrs and heroic warriors fighting for, "your freedom and ours."' John Paul II concluded by calling down the Holy Spirit upon Poland.

Our Lady asks us to join her in praying a rosary on the second day of each month for those who are far from God's love.

Medjugorje Story
We didn’t intend to ask about Medjugorje, not wanting to cause any embarrassment to the Cardinal if he preferred not to speak of Medjugorje. Imagine our surprise when the first thing he said was….
I have a Jesuit friend, Father Antonia Olaguer, who was an activist during the time of President Markos. He was a problem because he lacked a faith dimension. He was somewhat leftist. Then someone invited him to go to Medjugorje paying his fare so we went. People there were telling him about the wonders they were seeing but he didn’t believe them. Then one day he entered the church there, just to reflect and to meditate. He heard a voice and it was the voice of Our Lady. “Father, you are my son, as Christ is my son. Follow His footsteps.
“And now Father Olaguer is a different man. He is working for Our Lady all the time. He is now superior of the Jesuit in Manila. He said this is a great surprise because before he was a problem and now he is superior.”
And the Cardinal laughed heartily, obviously delighting in the story he had just told. We were to hear his joyous laugher many times throughout the interview.
Do many people in the Philippines believe in Medjugorje?"
“Yes, they do. My people believe in Our Lady and they believe that Our Lady appears everywhere.
Lady Stops Soldiers
"Will you tell us the story of how Our Lady intervened with the army?”
“Marcos was our resident for twenty years. He was a dictator and many were killed and tortured. The moment he knew you were against him, you would disappear. On the 2000th anniversary of Our Lady, we had a Marian Year in Manila. We were the first to hold a Marian Congress, and I was going all around our country with Our Lady of Fatima telling people to repent and go to confession. It was a national affair. And I said, “Something will be done by Our Lady. September 8th is her birthday.” We knew if Marcos didn’t declare an election, there would be civil war. So he declared an election. Mrs. Aquino became a candidate, a woman against a very strong man. One day the election was over, but there was fraud and Markos tried to manipulate the vote and he appeared to be winning.
Two hundred seventy-two soldiers, who didn’t believe in Markos, defected. They were inside the camp and Markos said their defection was treason and treason was punishable by death. He warned that if they did not surrender, within twenty-four hours, they would be executed. So the wives of the soldiers came to me to save their husbands. But I told them I had no weapon, except prayers. I called all the nuns in the convent and asked them to make acts of reparation before the Blessed Sacrament.
“We were all fasting and fasting. Then I called the people and said, ‘If two million people surround the compound with the soldiers, Markos could not kill all two million.’ After three days with millions around the compound, on February 26, 1986, Marcos was in despair. He gave orders that if the people did not leave he would start firing. Five tanks came. At five o’clock in the morning, the soldiers in the tanks started the countdown, then, when they reached six, a beautiful woman appeared to them in front of the tanks, and said, “Stop, soldiers. Don’t touch my children. I am the Queen of this land.”
“These soldiers were ignorant and they ran to my house and asked me, ‘Who was that beautiful woman?’ I said, ‘I don’t know but I presume she is Our Lady.’ They asked, ‘Where is she?’ I told them, ‘She is in Heaven but there is a beautiful statue here in Santo Domingo Church.’ So the soldiers went there to thank her. If it had not been for Our Lady, they would be criminals now, because they were going to fire on the people.”
Dawn Rosaries
"Cardinal, we have heard of block processions for Our Lady in the Philippines. Do you know what we mean?"
"We call this 'the Dawn Rosary'. On the first Saturday of each month, early in the morning at 4:00 o'clock, most everyone, especially the children, walks around their neighborhood saying the rosary. Finally, they end up in the church. Many walk without shoes as a penance."
"Why have the Philippines always been so devoted to Mary?"
"Our Lady is part of our history. It has always been so. If you want to raise funds in the Philippines, you give the fund Our Lady's name and then it is easy. All the bishops there are for Our Lady."
Our Lady Cures
"What is your first memory of our Lady as a little boy?"
"Well, you see, I was about to leave the seminary because of sickness, but Our Lady cured me. I was asthmatic and I was told by the rector to stay in the infirmary because every time I walked around an attack came. One day they brought a statue of Our Lady in the chapel. The seminarians were all singing to her. After they left the chapel, I stayed. I said to Our Lady, 'If I become a priest, dear Lady, be sure I will propagate your name. But, first, cure me.' And she cured me! This was October 7, 1952. 'I'll give you a deadline,' I said. 'If I am still sick on November 27th, the Feast of the Miraculous Medal, it means I have no vocation and I'll quit. I won't be a burden to the diocese.' I forgot all about what I said, but I had written a letter saying all this to her and put it under the statue. I signed it with my blood."
"I did not become sick again so I was ordained a priest. I forgot about my note under the statue and after thirteen year, I was made a bishop. I was then thirty-seven years old. It was a young age to be a bishop. The seminary decided to celebrate their students becoming a bishop so they started cleaning the chapel and they found my note in the museum of the seminary. Our Lady is terrific!"
"I don't go straight to God today. I channel everything through Mary, my Mother."
MARIA
"How do you find time to say fifteen decades of the rosary every day?"
"I have so many commitments. Sometimes at night, when I am very tired and cannot say any more rosary, I open my window and I shout, 'MARIA!' This is the name of Our Lady, and at the same time it is an acronym. The M stands for Mama. A for Advocate, R for Regine (Queen). I for Immaculate, and A for assumption. So this name is in itself a prayer. My priest secretary asked me one day. 'Who is this Maria you are calling?' 'Mind your own business,' I told him. So he went to the pulpit one Sunday and said, 'Let us pray for our Cardinal because he is madly in love with a woman named MARIA.'
Cardinal Sin doubled over with laughter and we followed suit.
Cardinal, is that story true or is that your little joke?"
'That is true! He did not know who I was calling to.'"
